First let me say the Freq Call works unbelievable on Rio Grande turkeys. I have been out 6 times and have called in birds every time. This morning was no different. We had a very heavy thunderstorm right before daylight that quit in time for me to get setup before first light. I setup a hen and jake decoy out in an open field about 75 yds from a tree line. I then placed the Freq halfway between the decoys and me. Right at first light I played the Fly Down series very quiet. After about 10 min, I played Hen Yelp 1 and 2 on mid volume for about 2-3 min. Immediately a hen answered and walked right past me to the decoys. Every time I played hen calls she answered. After 10 minutes she fed off into the field. At that time, I played GobbleDrum full volume, and a tom answered me far away, I could barely hear it. Hit the GobbleDrum again and 2 Tom’s answered closer. Within 3 min I had 3 Tom’s full strut in front of me. I played with them for a few minutes with multiple different hen calls and they gobbled at everything that came out of that call. This call is amazing on not only turkey but coyotes, bobcats, fox, hogs and pigs. By the way it is legal to hunt turkeys with an electronic call in Texas. I have turkey hunted for decades and am very proficient with hand calls but it sure is fun to see how turkeys react to it…….it is AMAZING.
